Oldshoe, a mini Micro if you will, is actually a Maxi, an Ultimate, the most boat possible in a small package! Where have you ever seen a 12 foot boat that has a self steering cat yawl rig, ballasted keel making her self righting, self bailing and rescuing, two free flooding wells for and aft, comfortable chair high seats for four to six adults, a dry locker for supplies and room for a porta-potty.

For camp-cruisers Oldshoe sleeps two on its seats under an optional tent. With all this it is fair to ask, can she sail! One owner says: 'I sailed in a hard breeze with 4-5 foot breaking seas with 3 heavy adults and my 100 lb. German Shepherd aboard - 670 total pounds. Other boats up to 21' were reefed and wet. We timidly reefed Oldshoe and furled the mizzen and immediately learned that was for gales only! Under full sail she charged hard on the wind into the comers, overpowering them. Reaching and running was rocking chair comfortable and I, at the tiller, was the driest in the fleet . . .' And this in a 12 foot boat!

Oldshoe is for those who want the sailing and safety features of Micro but don't need her extended cruising ability, in a smaller, quicker to build and even less expensive package.
